Commission Terms of Service
* By commissioning a piece of art paid in full, you are agreeing that you acknowledge and agree to all of the terms of service. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in termination from any future transactions and legal action if necessary.
Payment
- Payment is currently only accepted via PayPal. Prices are in CAD.- I will not begin a piece unless I have received payment in full. If necessary, I can accept multiple payments adding up to the full amount, and will begin the piece when the payment process is complete.- Please do not try to bargain with me on pricing. Prices are firm.- I understand that sometimes complications arise, and you may require a refund. Please let me know of this as soon as possible so that I don’t progress too far into a piece before I have to abandon it. If you do choose to have a refund, I will not be delivering the piece to you. If the piece is more than 50% complete, only a 50% refund will be given. There are no refunds given on completed pieces.- If you cancel a payment without advising me first, you are forfeiting our client/creator relationship.
Subject Matter
- I have the right to decline any commission without explanation.- I am not accepting commissions containing subject matter related to excessive sexual/explicit content, or excessive gore at this time. Some moderate nudity/suggestive content/gore is okay.- Please provide photo references of your desired subject so that I can ensure the most accurate depiction as possible. Text descriptions are okay, as long as you are comfortable with giving me artistic freedom of your subject. Please be clear on any defining features of your subject.- In regards to personal portraits of yourself, your friends and/or family, I may conditionally accept them if I am comfortable using the references you provide in a stylistic and functional way. I also have the right to decline the request otherwise.- If you are unclear about whether or not your subject matter falls within these guidelines, feel free to contact me and ask!
Process
- You may contact me at any time during the commission process to discuss the subject matter, progress of the piece, or anything else you see fit.- If you choose to do progress check-ins, you may advise of revisions or changes you would like to make to the piece within a reasonable margin.- The time period in which a piece is completed depends on the complexity of the piece and the number of clients I have at a time. I ask that you allow up to 10 business days for completion. If you require the piece before then, I may be able to accommodate the deadline for a rush fee.
Post-Commission
- You may share your commission on social media as long as you give me proper credit and link back to at least one of my socials or website.- You may be entitled to reproduce the commission for yourself and for personal use only. For example, making a print to hang on your wall.- You may not claim the piece as your own.- You may not remove any signature/watermark that I have included on the piece.- You may not reproduce the commission under mass quantities in any form or make a profit off of it. Your rights to the piece are strictly limited to personal use only.- You may not, under any circumstances, use my art to produce and sell non-fungible tokes (NFTs)- You may not resell the commission.- You may not edit the commission in anyway whatsoever. This includes drawing over top of, defacing, using as a base or manipulating the piece in any form.- I do not provide raw files.- I have the right to use your piece for promotional purposes. This means that I can use it on social media, in portfolios, art books, etc. to showcase my work.
